The IMC is organizing regular regional consultative meetings with IMC licensees. These meetings are being held in order to discuss the electoral process, namely the obligations of the media under the Law on Elections and bylaws of the IMC.

On September 13, 2021, the IMC held a regional meeting in Peja, attended by most of the licensed media in this region. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss with the IMC licensees about the process of local elections 2021, respectively the obligations of the media under Chapter VIII of the Law on Elections and bylaws of the IMC.

At the meeting was presented the legislation that regulates the functioning of the media in the Republic of Kosovo, regarding the part of the electoral process and a presentation was made about the most frequent violations found by the IMC during the last elections.

After the presentations, the meeting was followed by discussions of the participants on issues in general related to the obligations of the media during the election process but not only.

The situation of the media during the pandemic, the numerous financial difficulties created by the pandemic and the work that the local / regional media have and are doing regarding the pandemic were discussed, through various programs contributing to informing the public about the situation. of public health during this period of the pandemic.
