Delegations of regulators of Kosovo and Albania during during the visit to the United States met with senior representatives of the US Federal Communication Commission

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the IMC, Mr. Xhevat Latifi, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Faruk Rexhaj, while for AMA the President Mrs. Armela Krasniqi, the Acting Secretary General, at the same time the Director of Foreign Relations, Romelda Rrapollari.

For the US Federal Communications Commission Olga Madruga-Forti Head of Global Strategies, International Office, Ira Keltz Chief Executive Officer of Engineering and Technology, Mr. Jim Szeliga Head of Customer Care.

A fruitful meeting where bridges of cooperation were established between the institutions and the main pillars where the exchange of experience will be focused. In this context, the FCC partners expressed their readiness to assist in the further operation of the IMC and AMA, through technical support and exchange of best practices.

Although the IMC and the AMA met for the first time with the Federal Communications Commission, three areas of joint work were concretely decided:

- Release of frequency bands with special focus on informing the viewer about the process

- License renewal process

- Audiovisual and content adjustment

The interlocutors expressed the will that it is only the beginning of an institutional liaison and set joint deadlines for the next meetings.
