The members of the IMC Commission, Besnik Berisha, Azra Dešić and Jeton Mehmeti, as well as the Deputy Chief Executive Faruk Rexhaj and the Director of the Legal Department Niman Racaj, have participated in the annual meeting of the European Platform of Regulatory Authorities (EPRA). The host of the 57th meeting of EPRA was the Regulatory Authority of Norway, while the main topic of the proceedings was the media and information for the benefit of the public.

In the opening session of the proceedings, the member of the Commission Jeton Mehmeti also presented, who spoke about diversity and pluralism in the media ecosystem in Kosovo, as well as the alignment of the legal framework with the European AVMS directive. He informed the presidency and members of EPRA about the content of the new draft law on the IMC that is expected to be approved this month by the Government. Mehmeti also mentioned the challenges faced by the media in Kosovo, especially in the financial aspect.

In the works of EPRA, the new chairmanship was also elected, in which case, on behalf of IMC, the member of the Loyal Commission Berisha participated in the selection of the new Chairman of EPRA, Mrs. Mari Velsand and four vice-presidents. IMC is a full member of EPRA.

During the two days of work, the representatives of the IPC also held numerous bilateral meetings with the regulators of other countries. The next EPRA meeting will be held in Bucharest on October 18-20, 2023.
