The Independent Media Commission (IMC) and the Terre des hommes Laussane Foundation in Kosovo (TdhK) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation today. The memorandum was signed by Mr. Jeton Mehmeti-Chairman of the IMC and Mr. Pajtim Zeqiri - Head of the TdhK Office.

According to this memorandum, the parties undertake to raise the level of mutual cooperation for the implementation of joint activities in the field of child protection in the media. In this regard, the memorandum aims for the licensees of the IMC to undertake the appropriate measures to ensure the protection of children and minors from programs that may harm their physical, mental and moral development, in particular programs with inappropriate content. or extreme violence. Another objective of the memorandum is to promote in the media the topics that address the protection of children, protection from discrimination, rights of communities, justice for minors and similar initiatives. Among the activities that are foreseen are joint organizations such as: awareness campaigns, trainings, informative sessions, discussion tables, conferences and meetings for the protection of children and minors in audio and audiovisual media services.
