The Independent Media Commission (IMC) hosted today the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Kosovo, Mr. Tunç Angılı. The Ambassador was received by the Chairman of the IMC, Mr. Jeton Mehmeti, the Vice-Chairman, Mr. Fatih Basha, the member, Mr. Besnik Berisha, and the Deputy Chief Executive, Mr. Faruk Rexhaj.

In his introductory speech, the Chairman Mr. Mehmeti first welcomed Ambassador Mr. Angılı, and then informed him about the mandate, organization and work of the IMC. The President also emphasized the commitment of the IMC to promote media pluralism in the country, ensuring the right to information in the language of all communities in Kosovo.

In his speech, Ambassador Mr. Angılı expressed his thanks for the reception and added that he appreciates the cooperation so far between the IMC and the media regulator of Turkey, the Supreme Council of Radio and Television (RTÜK), confirming at the same time the readiness for this cooperation to continue. advances even further. Appreciating the importance of the media regulator, the Ambassador expressed his commitment to continuous support for the IMC, in the implementation of the highest standards in the field of regulation of audio-visual media services.
